We arrange events and activities to enable people to discover, enjoy and protect the heritage of this beautiful landscape.

Our events are open to all members normally free of charge, and often open to members of the public who are interested in finding out about the area.  We actively use Eventbrite, and ask those who wish to attend to register so that we can ensure the correct safeguards are in place.

At present, we have events running each month. We hope you will enjoy the varied events calendar.

If you have any ideas, or would like us to consider organising something on your wish list, which reflects our aims of sharing the AONB – please contact us and we will endeavour to make it happen.

Rydym yn trefnu digwyddiadau a gweithgareddau fydd yn galluogi pobl i ddarganfod, mwynhau a diogelu treftadaeth y dirwedd hyfryd hon. Rydym hefyd yn hyrwyddo digwyddiadau tebyg eraill yn yr ardal.

Mae’r holl ddigwyddiadau’n rhai cyhoeddus, ond gofynnir i unrhyw un sy’n dymuno gwneud hynny gysylltu â ni.

Climate Fresk – climate action and systems workshop

September 10 @ 10:30 am - 1:30 pm

Climate Fresk is an internationally-recognised climate educational, creative and empowerment workshop. This practical, hands-on and engaging 3-hour workshop uses a series of Climate Fresk “action cards” to explore the climate science in a collaborative way, combined with giving space to discuss feelings, individual and systemic actions, visioning and how we can facilitate a positive impact to rise to the climate challenge.

This is a practical workshop whereby we will be working together in small groups around tables, and attendance is required throughout the 3 hours (with comfort breaks).

As of the start of 2024, over 1 million participants have taken part worldwide in over 130 countries. For more information see https://climatefresk.org/

Key learning outcomes of Climate Fresk include:

-overview of climate change terminology, science, causes, consequences and impacts

-the role of individual behaviour change and wider systemic change

-upskilled, motivated and inspired individuals and teams with the knowledge and confidence to take action

Feel free to bring paper and a notepad if you would like. Otherwise, no need to bring anything. You’ll leave with a greater sense of agency and empowerment, and become part of a global movement of positive change and help support and grow the network in Wales.

The workshop will be delivered by Chris Woodfield in the Community Hall St Collen’s Church Llangollen.
