DESCRIPTION:oin us for a guided walk to Gop Hill on Sunday 28 June from 11.00am – 1.00pm\, led by archaeologist Fiona Gale. \nMeeting at the small car park in Trelawnyd\, Fiona will guide us up to Gop Hill\, one of the most remarkable prehistoric sites in North Wales. The summit is home to an impressive Neolithic cairn\, one of the largest in Britain\, with spectacular views across the Dee Estuary and the surrounding countryside. \nAlong the way Fiona will share insights into the archaeology\, history and landscape of the area\, helping bring to life the ancient past of this fascinating hill. \nPlease wear suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear\, as the walk includes uneven paths and natural terrain. \nFurther details about parking and meeting arrangements will be shared with those attending.

SUMMARY:Friends Visit to Denbighshire County Council Tree Nursery
DESCRIPTION:Visit DCC Tree Nursery for a guided tour\, with an optional nature reserve and beaver enclosure visit\, weather permitting. \n\n\n\nJoin Friends of the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley for a special summer visit to Denbighshire County Council’s Tree Nursery. \nThis will be a lovely opportunity to learn more about the work taking place locally to grow and support native trees\, biodiversity and landscape restoration across Denbighshire. \nThe visit will include a guided tour of the tree nursery\, with the opportunity to hear more about how the nursery operates\, the species being grown\, and the important role tree planting can play in supporting nature\, climate resilience and the local landscape. \nWeather permitting\, there will also be the option to continue on to the nearby nature reserve and beaver enclosure with Liam\, giving attendees a chance to learn more about habitat creation\, wildlife and nature recovery work in the area. \nPlanned activities\nThe visit is expected to include: \n\nA guided tour of the DCC Tree Nursery\nAn introduction to the work of the nursery and local tree-growing projects\nOptional visit to the nature reserve and beaver enclosure\, weather permitting\nTime for questions and informal discussion\n\nThe nursery tour is expected to last around one hour. The optional nature reserve visit may take slightly longer\, so please allow around 2–3 hours in total. \nWhat to bring\nFor the nursery visit\, please wear sturdy footwear and bring a sun hat\, water and any snacks you may need. \nFor the optional nature reserve and beaver enclosure visit\, wellies are recommended\, although hiking boots may also be suitable depending on the weather.
