DESCRIPTION:Visit to the Woodland Skills Centre\, Bodfari – Friday 15 May \nJoin us for a fascinating visit to the Woodland Skills Centre in Bodfari on Friday 15 May\, 11.00am – 1.00pm. \nWe will meet at the Centre where Rod Waterfield will welcome us with a cup of tea and a short introduction to the history and work of the Centre. We’ll then explore the site\, including the impressive timber-frame buildings\, before taking a gentle walk around the upper part of the grounds to see the wildflower meadow\, heritage orchard\, allotments\, vineyard and polytunnels. \nThe visit will also include a walk through the main woodland – part of the National Forest for Wales and winner of the RWAS Best Community Woodland in Wales – where we will hear how the woods are managed for both people and wildlife. \nWe’ll return to the Centre for a cup of tea and a chat (or head home if you prefer). \nParking is limited to around 15 cars\, so please car share where possible. If you would like to bring a picnic\, both indoor and outdoor spaces will be available. \nPlease wear suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear\, as the walk will include uneven paths and natural woodland terrain.
