We arrange events and activities to enable people to discover, enjoy and protect the heritage of this beautiful landscape.

Our events are open to all members normally free of charge, and often open to members of the public who are interested in finding out about the area.  We actively use Eventbrite, and ask those who wish to attend to register so that we can ensure the correct safeguards are in place.

At present, we have events running each month. We hope you will enjoy the varied events calendar.

If you have any ideas, or would like us to consider organising something on your wish list, which reflects our aims of sharing the AONB – please contact us and we will endeavour to make it happen.

Rydym yn trefnu digwyddiadau a gweithgareddau fydd yn galluogi pobl i ddarganfod, mwynhau a diogelu treftadaeth y dirwedd hyfryd hon. Rydym hefyd yn hyrwyddo digwyddiadau tebyg eraill yn yr ardal.

Mae’r holl ddigwyddiadau’n rhai cyhoeddus, ond gofynnir i unrhyw un sy’n dymuno gwneud hynny gysylltu â ni.

Visit to the Woodland Skills Centre, Bodfari – Friday 15 May

Join us for a fascinating visit to the Woodland Skills Centre in Bodfari on Friday 15 May, 11.00am – 1.00pm.

We will meet at the Centre where Rod Waterfield will welcome us with a cup of tea and a short introduction to the history and work of the Centre. We’ll then explore the site, including the impressive timber-frame buildings, before taking a gentle walk around the upper part of the grounds to see the wildflower meadow, heritage orchard, allotments, vineyard and polytunnels.

The visit will also include a walk through the main woodland – part of the National Forest for Wales and winner of the RWAS Best Community Woodland in Wales – where we will hear how the woods are managed for both people and wildlife.

We’ll return to the Centre for a cup of tea and a chat (or head home if you prefer).

Parking is limited to around 15 cars, so please car share where possible. If you would like to bring a picnic, both indoor and outdoor spaces will be available.

Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear, as the walk will include uneven paths and natural woodland terrain.
